BLOOD SWEAT AND GEARS car club members Clyde and Meribeth - titled as a 1966 Ford Cobra, it carries a real CSX (Carroll Shelby) vin number. Clyde's Porsche Red Cobra runs a dual quad 289 engine with 4 speed, a Jag type rear axle, 4 wheel disk brakes and custom interior with Cobra snakes embroidered onto the seats. He said "when I was a kid my mother would not let me have a muscle car". In 1997 he found this one in Athens, Alabama and started the rebuilding process. This Cobra has been in magazine articles in 2001 and 2002. Every year Clyde and Meribeth compete in the "Run and Gun" event at Gateway (NASCAR) Speedway near Saint Louis.  This June they will run time trails at Road America (NASCAR) Speedway in Wisconsin. Most memorable trip was their adventure from Illinois to Fort Myers Beach, Florida, with a 10 gallon gas tank!
