Frank's S10 started as a auto shop project with his students while he was teaching at Hall
High School. The truck is the accumulation of 3 S10 donors and 2 drivetrains. Seven years later and now teaching at L-P Area Career Center the
truck has morphed into what you see today. New for 2012 is a balanced 355 V8 engine with aluminum heads and full roller valve train.
The drivetrain has a performance Turbo 350 with a 2800 stall converter hooked to a Ford Explorer posi 8.8" with rear disc brakes.
The interior was from a Plymouth Aclaim with a student built dash. The body and paint work was done by Fisher Auto Body in Oglesby,
Illinois. The truck weighs 2900 pounds and with the 400 hp engine it should be able to do 12.5 to low 13's in the quarter mile.
This Chevy S10 might be Frank's last full frame off performance build.
This
truck is an ongoing project with Frank's students..!
