BLOOD SWEAT AND GEARS car club member Jim H. - 1957 Ford retractable powered by a 312 engine with 4BBL carb, followed by an automatic transmission. Jim found this car in a salvage yard in the state of Washington. It was sitting there for twenty years. His brother hauled it home and off framed it. He and his son readied it for Jim to drive back to Illinois where Jim then finished its restoration. Continental was added later.  After high school, in 1957, Jim went to work in a Ford garage and says. "I had always wanted a 1957 retractable of my own. My dream car!"
